Mangroves are highly productive environments that play important ecological and socioeconomic roles; however, they have been impacted to different degrees in most countries worldwide. The knowledge of which organisms inhabit this environment and their ecological interactions is the first step towards its conservation. The natural variability of environmental factors in mangroves provides numerous niches available to different species. Meiofauna have patchy patterns of distribution that are related to the availability of resources. Hence, meiofauna are expected to present a high diversity of different taxa occupying the different microhabitats offered by mangroves. This work aims to test the hypothesis that the assemblage structure of Nematoda varies significantly among mangrove microhabitats and to contribute knowledge on the meiofauna diversity in mangrove environments. This work was carried out in a mangrove region at Pernambuco state, Northeastern Brazil. Qualitative samples were collected in nine microhabitats which show different characteristics mainly in terms of presence of vegetation or another organism and sediment grain size. Univariate and multivariate analysis were applied to Nematoda genera abundance data. Our results demonstrate the existence of significant differences among microhabitats regarding nematode assemblage structure corroborating the hypothesis. Different Nematoda assemblages are present in at least seven microhabitats. These assemblages are composed of nematode genera with different trophic and morphological features, demonstrating a strong relationship between morphological diversity and ecological plasticity. 胶东苏鲁地体范家埠金矿成矿作用与矿床成因浅析:兼与胶北地体金矿对比 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
范家埠金矿是胶东半岛苏鲁地体内规模最大的石英脉型金矿。含金石英脉中锆石阴极发光和LA-ICP-MS微量元素及U-Pb同位素分析结果表明,含金石英脉中的锆石均为捕获围岩(新元古代威海片麻状花岗岩)的岩浆锆石,其中15个颗粒在U-Pb图解上位于谐和线上,其206Pb/238U加权平均年龄为(726±14)Ma(MSWD=4.6);另外7颗锆石位于不一致线上,其上交点年龄为(758±25)Ma,下交点年龄为(123±11)Ma(MSWD=0.45)。这些锆石的下交点年龄与金矿脉旁侧斜闪煌斑岩脉的角闪石40Ar/39Ar年龄分别为(118.8±1.6)Ma和(117.5±1.5)Ma,在误差范围内一致,表明范家埠金矿的成矿时代为120Ma左右。由此认为,苏鲁地体和胶北地体的金矿成矿作用均发生于早白垩世晚期120Ma前后,与目前多数人认为的华北克拉通岩石圈减薄的峰期时间一致,表明苏鲁地体的金矿成矿受岩石圈减薄的构造背景控制。范家埠金矿床成矿流体具中高温、中高盐度15.5%~23.2%(NaCleq)、低δ18OH2O(-3.84‰~-4.05‰)和低δDH2O(-82.5‰~-80.8‰)值等特点,载金矿物黄铁矿富32S(δ34S=-5.5‰~-9.1‰),与含油气盆地热卤水的组成相近,暗示范家埠金矿的成矿流体可能来源于中生代胶莱盆地。这种盆地流体沿断裂——五莲—米山深大断裂及其次级构造迁移,同时萃取基底岩石中的金形成含矿热液并在还原的环境中成矿。相反,胶北地体大量金矿床成矿流体具有低盐度、高δ18OH2O和δDH2O,δ34S(‰)为正值等特点。胶北和苏鲁地体早白垩世金成矿强度和成矿作用的差异可能反映了两者在地壳基底、流体来源和成矿环境等方面的不同。 相似文献

In all geological scenarios, mineral water reactions will affect the water chemistry. As such, water resources in different
rocks commonly involve different hydrogeological compartments. The aim of this work is to evaluate the influence of geology
in the geochemistry signature of Itacolomi State Park waters. To do so, a survey of the geological units in the area was carried
out, a geological/stratigraphic division was made, and its correlation with the main geological events was determined. Using
the advantages of GIS, all the catchments were delimited. Based on this division, near 30 stream and lake segments were chosen
for analyses. In each point, all physiochemical properties of the water were measured, and samples were collected to determine
the concentrations of major and trace elements by ICP–OES. The dynamics of the Itacolomi State Park rock-soil and stream water
solutions suggest that mixing of drainage waters from different bedrock and soil sources regulates stream water physical–chemical
parameters and solute concentrations. The analytical data showed a clear correlation between the chemical compositions of
the solute and the geological characteristics of the catchment. Units that are covered by iron oxide hardpan (Manso unit)
and iron-banded formations (Custódio unit) show a large amount of soluble elements, including high values of Fe and Mn. On
the other hand, the presence of high values of Al and K (Itacolomi unit) are a direct consequence of the presence of quartzite

Oceanographic Characteristics of a Multi-Specific Fishing Ground of the Central South Brazil Bight 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In the Central South Brazil Bight, a multispecific demersal trawl fishery is conducted by trawlers licensed for the industrial pink shrimp (Penaeus paulensis and Penaeus brasiliensis) fishery. In addition to the pink shrimp, many by-catch species have become increasingly valued in the last two decades. In spite of the importance of this multispecific fishery, the oceanographic characteristics of the inner continental shelf, onshore the 100 m isobath, are poorly known. In this paper we present, for the fist time, monthly oceanographic records taken from December 1995 to May 1997 with the R/V ‘Diadorim’ at two of the main fishing grounds of this region. Water temperature data showed the formation of a strong thermocline during summer, from November to April. This thermal gradient, due to the South Atlantic central water (SACW) intrusion that reaches these shallow waters, disappeared with the homogenization of the water column during autumn and winter, from May to September. This cold and low salinity water does not originate from local river discharges, but also represents an advection of sub-Antartic water mass. After this and during spring, a new thermocline develops, reaching its maximal expression from February to March. A maximal gradient was registered in February 1997, when the temperature dropped from 26°C at 7 m to 16°C at 14 m depth. This result shows that the SACW intrusion is a large-scale phenomenon that regularly influences the whole inner continental shelf up to 20 m. Demersal fishing grounds located in this area were covered during summer by a cold and nutrient-rich mass of water that resulted in an unusual maximum of chlorophyll a values near the bottom (30 m). The homogenization of the water column and the presence of another cold water mass during winter resulted in a strong semi-annual thermal cycle on the bottom. The role of this important oceanographic process in fishery production and dynamics deserves further investigation, but the data presented here show evidence for the importance of this phenomenon. 相似文献

Projections of the impacts of modern Relative Sea Level (RSL) rise on estuarine mangroves should be supported by coastal topographic data and records of mangrove dynamics under past RSL change. This work identified inland and seaward mangrove migrations along the Jucuruçu River (Bahia, Northeastern Brazil), during the Holocene based on sedimentary features, palynological and geochemical (δ13C, δ15N, C/N) data integrated with digital elevation models. During the Middle Holocene, in response to RSL rise, the estuary saw mangrove forest establish up to ~37 km inland. RSL stood between -1.4 (+0.36/-2.2 m) and +1 (2.19/0.2 m) around 7400 cal yr BP, and rose to a highest position of +3.25 (4.22/2.45 m) reached around 5350 cal yr BP. That marine incursion caused the inland replacement of freshwater vegetation by mangroves on tidal flats. Since then, the estuary experienced RSL fall, reducing inland tidal water salinity towards the Late Holocene, making that the mangroves were replaced by freshwater floodplain vegetation. Today, in the seaward part of the estuary near its mouth, mangroves occupy an area of ~10 km2 along tidal channels. Considering a RSL rise of 98 cm up to the end of the 21st century, at a rate significantly higher than that of Middle Holocene RSL rise (1.5 mm/yr) and fall (0.6 mm/yr), the current mangrove substrates are expected to drown and/or eroded near the coast, while new mangroves may establish inland, at topographically higher tidal flats in nowadays freshwater-tidal zones. Mangrove area could expand over 13 km2 of coastal and flood plain. Regional turbulence patterns driven by meso- and submesoscale processes in the Caribbean Sea 总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0
The surface ocean circulation in the Caribbean Sea is characterized by the interaction between anticyclonic eddies and the Caribbean Upwelling System (CUS). These interactions lead to instabilities that modulate the transfer of kinetic energy up- or down-cascade. The interaction of North Brazil Current rings with the islands leads to the formation of submesoscale vorticity filaments leeward of the Lesser Antilles, thus transferring kinetic energy from large to small scales. Within the Caribbean, the upper ocean dynamic ranges from large-scale currents to coastal upwelling filaments and allow the vertical exchange of physical properties and supply KE to larger scales. In this study, we use a regional model with different spatial resolutions (6, 3, and 1 km), focusing on the Guajira Peninsula and the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea, in order to evaluate the impact of submesoscale processes on the regional KE energy cascade. Ageostrophic velocities emerge as the Rossby number becomes O(1). As model resolution is increased submesoscale motions are more energetic, as seen by the flatter KE spectra when compared to the lower resolution run. KE injection at the large scales is greater in the Guajira region than in the others regions, being more effectively transferred to smaller scales, thus showing that submesoscale dynamics is key in modulating eddy kinetic energy and the energy cascade within the Caribbean Sea. 相似文献
